Illuminating Blogger Award

I was very recently given an Illuminating Blogger Award by the very amazing, very talented Asti from A Bookish Heart, a blog any self-respecting book lover needs to check out immediately.  After some very unattractive, unprofessional squealing and dancing, (I get in touch with my inner 14 year old when a blogger I so greatly respect acknowledges PaperFantasies), I decided to look up more info on the award and find out what it actually is.

The Illuminating Blogger Award is an award given to blogs with original, illuminating content.  What's so cool about it is that it isn't this big voted-on thing with judges and fanfare, but a peer-recognized award.  Simply by being nominated, you've been awarded.  Well, sort of.  There are a few rules, which you can find here if you're interested.  Which you should be.  So go, then come back and finish reading this post.

Okay, are you back?  For those of you too smitten with my blog to leave it, I'll give a run-down on the need-to-know info and rules.

A blog that has been nominated then thanks the nominating blog by leaving a comment on their blog (which I did), then chooses five other illuminating blogs to pass the award on to (which I'm doing).  There are a few that I love, but I know they've already been nominated so I'm going to skip those.  You know who you are. *cough*Asti *cough* Trish*

Some of these may have been nominated and I'm just unaware, but if so, they deserve to be nominated twice.

Debby at Snuggly Oranges - This blog is my prized find, because I was following her before it was cool.  Hipster, me?  Debby writes some of the most hilarious gif-infused reviews, and her weekly (usually) Book Nerd Problems just should not be missed.  By anyone.

Sheri at Perks Of Being A Bookworm - This is a new blog that, as far as I know, doesn't have very many discussion posts up.  But her reviews are fun and her personality shines through in every one of them, so if that doesn't count as original and illuminating, what does?

Cain at No BS Books - Another new blog.  Cain probably writes the longest book reviews that still manage to be entertainingly informative.  He's going to be starting a Banned Books feature soon and I'm trying to give him more followers to enjoy it.  So, yeah.  Check him out.

Pixie at The Bookaholic - Pixie is straight-up the reason I'm blogging.  She's one of the most awesome people to be nagged by, because her nagging is usually right.  Go check out her Shakespeare feature and learn a little something, you literature heathens. (Just kidding.)

Taylor at Thoughts Of An Endless Dreamer - Another close friend of mine whose blog showcases her nerdiness awesomely.  She's involved in the Shakespeare month I already mentioned, and she also has a new poetry feature, Wednesday's Poetry Watch.  Enrich your souls by dropping by.

  4. Aww you are just too sweet. I'll be able to check this out more this weekend since I just got my replacement monitor (yay!) I just got to get them switched out (and yay procrastination!) For now I gotta give my laptop a break. Stupid thing was starting to get too hot while I was trying to work on a post and quit loading things...hmm maybe it was the yummy book boy in the post?

Anyway...congrats on your nomination you deserve it! Even though you're like my bookish-drug-pusher. Don't deny it! I'm not complaining though (except maybe when I get to Demonic Dora but that one was ALL MY CHOICE for humorous purposes xD) And thanks for thinking of me for your nominations. :D <3

As you may or may not know, life is eating up way too much of my spare time right now, so pretty please don't hate me if it takes me a few days to get back to your wonderful comments. I read each and every one from my phone, and they always make my day. <3
